Why children and families?: I love photographing children because I have two of my own. I love their joy, their energy, and how they see the world. I understand that sitting still might not be an option. I can come equipped with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, crayons, balls, trains, cars, etc - anything to keep the fun going. Do not expect to do a lot of posed shots but rather fun shots of you playing with your child(ren).
How does this work?: I am a relaxed, go with the flow photographer. I am not going to spend a lot of time posing you. We are going to have fun, walk, talk, be silly, and do what makes you feel most comfortable. Your portraits will not be stiff and formal, but relaxed and capturing the real you!
What do we wear? Keep it simple and don’t over-think it. Wear something you are comfortable in. Do not feel like everyone has to “match” and avoid clothing with writing or logos - they tend to be distracting. I suggest layered outfits and smiles. Vibrant colors are always a great choice!
When do I pay? At this time a full payment is due within 7 days of booking your photo shoot.
How much is this going to cost? I understand that a photo shoot does not always make the necessity budget, however you should consider this as a long term investment for you to pass on through your family. You can not put a price a picture of your family that captures that moment in time. For more information visit my pricing page here.
Location: Together we can pick a location and time that will best fit your needs! The outdoors or your home are the most comfortable places for me to photograph. When doing a session indoors it is best if your home offers an ample amount of natural light. Parks with trees, water, rock formations, walking bridges and flowers create a beautiful backdrop for your portraits. I have access to the Biltmore Estate, The North Carolina Arboretum, and the UNCA Botanical Gardens as well as many other ideas for local spots in the Asheville to Hendersonville area.
Graphic Design and Illustration
What do you do?: I am available for all print based media and creative photography-based or hand drawn or painted illustration. I am skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign 5.5.
How much do you charge?: Each project varies so much that I am unable to give quotes online. Please email me so we can discuss the details of your project and how we can make it happen.
